Please follow the steps below if you are attempting to join a Google Meet on your Chromebook, and get stuck on either of these screens:

1.) Confirm that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network by checking the wifi status in the bottom right corner, opening a website, etc.

2.) Quit all open applications (including Google Chrome). You will leave the waiting room of the Google Meet when quitting Google Chrome.

3.) Reopen Google Chrome and then reopen your Google Meet. (Note: If you can now request access to your Google Meet then you can stop here. If you are still experiencing issues, please continue to the next step.)

4.) Once again, close all open applications (including Google Chrome).

5.) Perform a Chromebook Force/Hard Reset. To do this, please press the following buttons/keys that correspond to your Chromebook model: (Note: Your Chromebook will immediately turn off and restart when completing this action. For more information on how to perform a Chromebook Force/Hard Reset, visit the link: https://support.uscsd.k12.pa.us/kb/article/373-performing-a-chromebook-hard-reset/)

Dell Chromebook 5190

Lenovo Chromebook 500e (2nd Gen.)

6.) When your Chromebook starts back up, log in with your SSO credentials (<username>@uscstudents.org and password).

7.) Open your Google Meet link in Google Chrome

If you can now request access to get into your Google Meet now, great! If you are still experiencing issues, please submit a ticket to https://support.uscsd.k12.pa.us/new/.
